Meet Your New Hosts: Rosie & James

Rosie Chapman: A Life in Music and Events

Rosie's career has been shaped by music from an early age. After studying at the University of Leeds - where she managed the University Chamber Orchestra - she discovered her aptitude for coordinating complex events and bringing artistic visions to life.

Her path led her to London's classical music scene, starting with concert administration with international orchestra Academy of St Martin in the Fields before joining Kings Place Music Foundation. At Kings Place, she spent nearly 10 years working her way up to Head of Artistic Planning, overseeing everything from their flagship series ‘Unwrapped’, the highly respected folk programme to artist management and venue coordination.

Working with international soloists and managing high-profile concerts has taught Rosie that successful events depend on meticulous planning and genuine attention to detail. She's learned that the best experiences happen when logistics are seamless and people feel looked after. She's looking forward to escaping the city, getting to know the area and opening up House Arundel for new guests and existing! When she's not working, you'll find her perusing garden and interior design magazines, walking her and James’s dog Miso, and trying to bake a cake or two.

James Crinson: From Mountains to Hospitality

James has spent most of his working life in hospitality, with a particular fondness for places with decent skiing and mountain biking. This preference has taken him from early bar work in the UK to the Four Seasons and Hilton in Whistler, Canada, where he learned that good service and mountain access make for a winning combination.

His seven years in New Zealand managing cocktail bars in Wanaka confirmed his theory that hospitality works best when you actually enjoy where you live.

A stint in Melbourne helping a small whisky distillery expand their market taught James that he prefers working with producers who care about their craft. Back in London, he's worked with various spirits companies, but finds himself drawn to smaller operations where conversations matter as much as sales figures.

James still cycles the trails of the South Downs most weeks and spends considerable time researching his next skiing or biking destination. He's found that the best hospitality comes from hosts who genuinely like their location and can recommend things worth doing, rather than just following a script.

A Perfect Harmony of Passion and Experience

What drew Rosie and James to House Arundel isn't just its stunning Georgian architecture or prime location - it's the opportunity to create the kind of experiences they've always been keen to discover themselves.

Together, they share a love of:

  • Supporting local artisans - from the breakfast partnerships to seeking out the finest local producers

  • Attention to detail - understanding that small touches make a difference

  • Celebrating heritage - honouring the past while creating new traditions

  • Adventure and exploration - whether it's discovering hidden South Downs walks or the perfect local wine

Both Rosie and James are excited to share their love of music, great food and drink, outdoor adventures, and the incredible heritage that surrounds House Arundel.

The cpu gpu matcher is such a handy tool for builders who want perfectly balanced performance. It matches components so you don’t end up with one part overpowered or underutilized. I used the cpu gpu matcher when building my PC and it worked perfectly. It’s great for avoiding bottlenecks altogether.
